Well, this is very exciting! I've been making homemade cakes since May 2005, but never had a site to display them. It will be terrific to be able to share my cheeky creations with my family, friends and customers!
On that note, I should find some recent pictures...
This is a birthday cake I made in December, for my friend who is a hippo lover. I've known her since Grade 4, believe it or not! (My friend, not the hippo)

I made this Tigger cake for my biggest little sister, who just turned 23.

And this was an order for a terrific returning customer :)
Her daughter wanted a Bratz cake, so I made an edible image using the picture provided and topped it off with hot pink "fur" trim and shiny red Bratz lips!

I've been thinking about selling cake & cupcake toppers after many people told me they wished I could ship my cakes. Well, mailing cake isn't possible for me, but mailing cake decorations is! Here is a sample I'm mailing to a friend as a test run. They are #1 decorations for B & B, a set of boy/girl twins, with flowers for her and turtles for him :)

And the cupcakes I made as part of my daughters' birthday cake will be an option for toppers too. They will look a bit different for sale, as I used buttercream to add details to these but will use fondant or royal icing if shipping them.
I don't think buttercream and up to 2 weeks in the mail are a good combination ;)

This was for my SIL's baby shower...and my new nephew's even cuter than the cake :)

This was a 2-tier cheesecake with handmade chocolate roses on the top, and a yummy pile of chocolate-dipped strawberries on the bottom. Man, it was hard to sell it instead of eating it!

One of my favorite cakes yet! This was a personal-size cake for a friend...The Frog Prince. I saw the frog prince created byLindy Smith (who is amazing!!!) at
www.lindyscakes.co.uk and decided to try my own style of the fairytale favorite.

A kilt cake (with legs!!!) for a fellow from my bagpiping group...and by the way, I can play 4 songs now on the chanter! Um, without the gracenotes ;) And after a whole month. Okay, it's going to be a while before I earn my pipes, lol..
Anyhow, this cake is The Highland Hottie!

Another favorite cake, made for my Frog Prince friend's mama. This Red Hat Club cake reads "When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple"...have you read the poem? Google it, it's great! The little lady is wearing a purple dress, but it looks a bit blue in the picture.

This was a replica of the 2005 Relay For Life t-shirt, and was donated to the event's volunteer staff. This was one of my first Cheeky Monkey Cakes.
The Relay for Life is a wonderful event, which I will be participating in again this year, and hopefully donating even better cakes after a whole year's practice :) You can find info at

This Celestial Cake was for a co-worker of my mum's, who is also the reason that my business began! She called me at home to order a cake and wouldn't take no for an answer...thank goodness! I love this cake, but it took a very looong time! My power went out while I was decorating it, so I had to finish hand-painting the black food colouring image by flashlight...oy!

This one I made in the summer for a birthday girl at a get-together for my twins group...a flower-shaped cake with 3D butterfly fondant decorations, so cute!

A 3D Dora the Explorer cake for an a
DORAble little girl! Complete with Backpack and her buddies Swiper and Boots.

back...complete with Backpack ;)

Well, I think that's enough for today, folks! But I have 3 awesome cakes planned for this weekend (a 3D excavator, a 3D cowboy hat, and a baby shower cake) so check back this weekend for new pictures!
